Doctor, Doctor

Rob had his rotator cuff surgery on Wednesday of this week. Everything went great and he should be as good as new after a few weeks of physical therapy. Thank you all for the prayers, thoughts, and well wishes!

Rob actually handled his surgery better than I did! Ridiculous, I know. After the nurse got him prepped for surgery, they called me back into the room so that I could sit with him until his surgery. When I went in the room, they were finishing up on him. I have this "issue" so that anytime I'm in a hospital room with lots of wires, needles, etc., I get really nauseated and weak in the knees. You know the feeling like you might pass out....the cold sweat, the cotton mouth, the ringing in the ears. Well it started happening! I had to open the door and ask someone to get me some water. The nurse came in and all she had was a pill cup so I got to "sip" water out of it and also put a cold cloth on my face. Meanwhile, poor Rob was busy worrying about me when the roles were supposed to be the other way!

Anyway, after my "episode" I was fine and the rest of the day I was the supportive wife and did so successfully, if I do say so. Rob made this role pretty easy though because he has been an excellent patient. He seems to be on the mend and life should be back to "normal" pretty soon!
