Monkey See, Monkey Do!

Sorry I have been so bad at blogging lately. The last few weeks have been crazy busy for us, but hopefully things are starting to slow down. Last weekend we visited my parents on Friday night and went to dinner with my parents, my friend Allison and her beau (and also my cousin) Derrick, and Rita and her husband Jeff. We ate at Mi Casita (of course) and had a great time and we loved spending time with everyone. We came home late Saturday afternoon and then on Sunday we went to church at Asbury with our friends Stephen and Sandra. We attended the 9:00 worship service and then went to Sunday School with Stephen and Sandra. We also ran into many other people that we know, which is always nice at a new church! We had a great time and really felt at home and are so excited about going back!!

Friday night we attended the 1st Annual Lightning Bug Festival at Meredith (Merrifield) Horne's house. Meredith and I went to high school together and both ended up in the Madison area when we got married. She even worked at the same place that I work at now! Crazy, huh? Anyway, she and her husband Scott had a party in honor of all of the lightning bugs in their yard. We had a really good time and met a lot of new people! Thanks for the invite Meredith and Scott!

This week was crazy busy at work and I even went in Saturday to catch up on some things that I just can't seem to get accomplished during the week. After I worked, Rob and I went to Scottsboro to see his dad and go to lunch. He and his wife will be spending the summer in Wisconsin so this was the last time we will see them for a few months. On our way home, we passed a van and just as we got up to the drivers' side this is what we saw!

Yes, it's a MONKEY and yes it's hanging out of the window with a t-shirt and diaper on! Rob and I could not stop looking and laughing. It is a wonder that we didn't have a wreck since we were watching the monkey instead of the road! The things that you see driving down the road!

Hopefully this week will go by fast because Rob and I leave next Saturday for a week at the beach! We will meet my parents and brother there and spend the week vegging out! I want nothing more than to sit in the sun with my iPod and my books and be left alone! HA! I don't think I've ever been so excited about going to the beach! This vacation is well deserved, if I do say so myself! :)
